Working with the Canvas
Use the canvas to design your workflow.
Adding Activities
To add an activity to a workflow:
Open the workflow from the Applications panel.
Click the Activities menu item to access the Activities panel.
Expand the activity group that contains your activity.
Click an activity and drag it on to the canvas. The activity appears on the canvas. You can now connect the activities on the canvas to create a workflow.
Grouping and Ungrouping Activities
PlatformNx enables you to group one or more activities, so you can organize them into logical groups that you can manage more easily.
To group activities, hold Ctrl and select one or more activities and click the Group icon. You can now move the grouped activities around together and design your workflow more easily.
To ungroup grouped activities, click on the activity group and click the Ungroup icon.
Managing Workflow Notes
Add notes to describe workflows and add any additional detail as required. Notes don't impact the actual workflow.
To add a note, click the Notes icon in the bottom-right corner of the canvas. A note appears on the top-right corner.
To move a note around the canvas, click and drag the note as required.
To resize a note, drag the resize handles that appear at its edges.
To change the color of a note, click on the note, click the Color icon that appears above the note, and select the color that you want to use for the note.
To delete a note, click on the note and then on the Delete icon that appears.
