Understanding the PlatformNx UI

Here's a graphic that illustrates key components of the PlatformNx UI.

The PlatformNx UI

1. The Application Header

  • Displays breadcrumbs to help you easily track your location within the PlatformNx component structure.

  • The right side of the header contains a toolbar that enables you to perform deployment-related tasks on workflows.

  • The header's right corner displays the current workflow. Click it to switch workflows.

2. The Main Menu

  • The upper part of the main menu offers links to key PlatformNx functionality, such as applications, activities, and so on.

  • The lower part of the main menu offers links to organization-level controls, such as settings and the organization-level library.

3. The Menu Item Panel

This section displays the relevant tools and options for the currently selected item in the main menu. For instance, when Applications is selected, the panel provides controls for managing applications and their components.

4. The Workflow Builder Canvas (The Canvas)

This is where you drag activities from the Activities panel to design your workflow.

5. The Workflow Builder Configuration Panel (The Configuration Panel)

Use the configuration panel to specify details associated with your workflow and its activities. Click on the Canvas to configure the open workflow; click an activity to configure it. Depending on the nature of the activity selected, the Configuration Panel may have one or more tabs. For details on the configuration options available for each activity, review the guidance associated with it.

These panels appear on the right side of the Canvas when you click one of the deployment-related toolbar icons, such as Profiles, Variables, and so on. Each panel offers controls associated with the tool you selected.

  • Connects you to PlatformNx help content.

  • Indicates whether you are online as you work.

  • The right side of the footer indicates if there are any warnings or errors associated with your work.
